Making Additional Payments
If you wish to make payments to your account in addition to your scheduled monthly payment, please take note of the following information:
- You may submit additional payments by any of the options available to you as noted
on the
Make a Payment
link.
- There are no penalties for making additional payments or paying your loan off early.
- Electronic payments submitted on-line may take up to a week for the transaction
to be
reflected in your
on-line personal account history
after the transaction has been submitted.
- Additional payments made less than 25 days prior to your next due date will result
in your next due date being advanced to the next billable month and will not be
applied to your principle balance.
- Additional payments made greater than 25 days prior to your next due date will result
in the payment being applied partially to unpaid interest as well as to the principle
balance.
Once an additional payment has been applied to your loan it cannot be changed or refunded.
